GoLucid Field Notes: ExpoGenie

GoLucid Field Notes:

ExpoGenie focuses on the revenue and fulfillment side of exhibitors and sponsors for conferences and trade shows. It is built to help organizers sell booths, sponsorship packages, and add‑ons without relying on spreadsheets and manual follow‑up.

Met with John Connolly (Co‑Founder and Head of Sales) to understand what they built and why. John shared that ExpoGenie was designed around the realities of sponsor and exhibitor selling, where workflows often need to change based on how something is sold. The platform supports conditional logic across booth sales, packages, and add‑ons, allowing organizers to handle different combinations, entitlements, and rules without creating friction for sponsors or staff. This shows up in self‑service experiences like live floor plans and sponsor portals, where what someone sees or can purchase changes based on the package, booth, or add‑ons they select.

ExpoGenie is designed to plug into the existing event stack rather than replace it. It acts as the system of record for exhibitor and sponsor data, syncing with registration and CRM tools while giving organizers visibility into revenue progress, fulfillment status, and exhibitor activity across multiple selling models.

In CECI’s evolving framework, solutions like this may relate to Exhibitor & Sponsor Technology, but ultimately, category fit is for vendors and the community to help clarify as the model matures.
